Set-up reduction for corrugated manufacturer

Opportunity
Large multinational integrated wanted to reduce the amount of time to complete set-up changes between production runs at the Flexo Folder Gluer machine center.

Solution
Adalis established a baseline measurement of typical set-up time. Adalis analyzed existing processes and applied Lean and Six Sigma methodology to determine where time savings could be realized. Adalis technical representatives developed a streamlined process and trained crew in new procedures.

Results
The new process saved over 15 minutes per setup, which was equal to 55 extra shifts per year. Adalis prepared and implemented a control plan so that the efficiency gains could be sustained.
