Throughput increased at US plywood mill

Opportunity
A major plywood mill located in the southern part of the US was not getting the throughput is desired from its composer.  Downtime on the composer averaged 45% over an 8-hour shift. The composer produced only 500 sheets per shift. .  

Solution
Adalis was asked to evaluate the problem. Adalis installed a rotary applicator system and trained operations and maintenance personnel.

Results
After training and improvements were made, throughput on the Taiwanese-made composer jumped from 500 sheets per shift to 1800 sheets per shift-a 360% increase. Downtime due to maintenance issues was reduced to zero.
